These bags, inspired by my dear friend, Stephanie McNutt, are my newest endeavor = affordable, yet functional art!
And they now available for purchase in a fabulous shop in Taos, New Mexico : FX/18 : http://www.fx18.com !!! In Denver: they are available at Anastasia Designs, 201 Milwaukee St. in Cherry Creek North, on Colfax at the Bad Kittie Salon, www.thebadkittiesalon.com the Fabric Lab, Taboot, and on Capital Hill at the Buffalo Exchange. Now at WILLOW, 2400 Main Street, Littleton, CO at the corner of Prince and Main street, as well as in the Boulder Store located at 1500 Pearl St.
TO DATE I HAVE PAINTED OVER 150 bags and about 75 of them are in circulation all about the country. (if you can get one international, please let me know)
All bags are "recycled"....meaning: all bags I paint were formally owned, but now have been discarded, and I have made them into something new, something, hopefully you will find as "beautiful." It all goes along with my Trash to Treasure concept of recycling and a green approach to artwork.
Most bags range from $40 - $100. If you find one on my website that is of interest to you, please contact me via email: laurie_maves_art@yahoo.com to see if it is still available. I also sell them out of my studio located at 855 Inca Street in Denver, Colorado, and will do personalized bags on commission.
