My name is Laurie Maves.
I am an emerging artist and live painter based in Denver, Colorado. I work as "green" as I possibly can, by recycling canvases, paint, collage materials and whatever else I can get my hands on. I also provide various artist services such as portrait comissions, mural work and most recently table and bar tops which can be viewed at Tastes Uptown a great little wine bar near 17th and Downing Streets in Denver: http://www.tasteswinebar.com/index.htm.
My newest endeavor has been in the "fashion" industry, by creating and selling one-of-a-kind recycled handbags. These are great little art items which I aim to make affordable for everyone. They are available for purchase at the Bad Kittie Salon in Denver http://www.thebadkittiesalon.com/hair/, The Buffalo Exchange located at 13th and Grant streets in downtown Denver, The Fabric Lab www.thefabriclab.com as well as Taboot: both located on Colfax, at my studio: 855 Inca in Denver, or in Taos, NM, at a fabulous shop called FX/18 http://www.fx18.com/ on Bent Street.
Currently, besides the number of local shows I am participating in this spring, I'm getting ready for all those Democratic National Convention Visitors coming to Denver this season! Denver's Democratic Party Offices are located in the heart of Denver's Santa Fe Arts' District. Visitors looking for culture and local ARTWORK, as well as one of a kind purses, should stop by my ARTIST STUDIO located at 855 Studios, 855 Inca Street in Denver's Santa Fe Art's District.
Come see me and my work there during the week (T, W, Th) or email me to schedule an appt.
